Teamwork + Tech: A Recap of Our FLL Maker Camp

Our FIRST Lego League Maker Camp is Skyview Robotics Program’s way to spread the message of FIRST in our community. Our annual hosting of FLL had a great turnout this year. We make it a priority to host events each year, advocating to parents the importance of FIRST in their community.

While our mentors presented about FLL, the impacts it had on them, and on their children, we grouped the kids into FLL teams. In these teams, the kids collaborated to find a solution when given a problem. From coming up with team names, to completing tasks by coding their LEGO robots, the kids experienced all that FLL has to offer.

At the end of our event, each kid presented with their team about their robot and its functions regarding completing their task.

From this camp, students learned teamwork, problem solving, and construction skills. Both the students and volunteers had an amazing time during this FLL Camp and can't wait to see more students at our FLL Camps this next winter!

Skyview Robotics would like to thank Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries for their collaboration and help in running this event!
