Power Distribution Hub

The Power Distribution Hub has connections of 12 AWG wires from motor controllers, CAN network (seen on the yellow and green ports), 20 AWG power wires (with amp breaker fuses), and the main 4 AWG wire from the battery.

TOOLS NEEDED:

  • Labels for PDH ports and motors

  • 12 AWG wire connected to Motor controllers

  • 20 AWG wire connected to other components

  • Breaker Amp Fuses

  • Fuses for motor ports

  • CAN wire

  • 4 AWG wire connected to battery

  • Wago (small flathead)

STEPS:

  1. To prep, make sure every motor is labelled a number, and create a table to keep track of ports.

  2. To supply power to the PDH after it’s been mounted, strip the 4 awg wire coming off the breaker and insert into the large “Battery Input” ports.

  3. To supply power from motor controllers into the PDH, strip the ends of the 12 AWG wires and crimp a ferrule onto it. Insert it into whatever port, and make sure to label the port on the PDH, and the PDH/CAN table mentioned before.

  4. For each motor plugged into a port, a corresponding 20A fuse must be placed inside the slot.

  5. For CAN network, strip back CAN wires and crimp 20 AWG ferrules onto them.

  6. For the PWM ports, strip and crimp the wires and place them inside the port, then add corresponding breaker amp fuses.
